TECHNOLOGY: WhatsApp’s voice-calling service is unblocked in UAE on early thursday according to the press agency.
In November last year, WhatsApp rolled out the service, but mobile users was not able to access the service. Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) was not allowing the Voice over Internet Protocol services as they said only lincense holders can provide services.
But on early thursday many users from Sharjah and Dubai confirm this news that voice-calling feature is working fine. TRA says that still this service can only provided by the lincense holders who have rights to provide.
